PROJECT DECISION GUIDE

What should be evaluated before you approve the work?

The free consultation is designed to turn visible symptoms and ownership priorities into a specific, comparable scope.

Problems this service addresses

  • Scuffs, stains and uneven sheen
  • Settlement cracks and failed patches
  • Poor cut lines and previous color bleed
  • Finishes that cannot withstand cleaning

What we inspect

  • Wall and ceiling condition under natural and task lighting
  • Drywall cracks, nail pops, stains and texture differences
  • Trim, door and cabinet-coating compatibility
  • Furniture movement, access and daily-use requirements

What the proposal should specify

  • Protection and containment sequence
  • Drywall correction and stain-blocking needs
  • Primer by substrate and existing finish
  • Sheen and product schedule for each surface

Decisions you can make confidently

  • Washability versus lower sheen
  • Low- and zero-VOC preferences
  • Color continuity between connected spaces
  • Traditional premium paint or Drywall Shield® option
A CLEARER SCOPE FOR YOUR PROJECT

Start with the room, not the paint can.

A hallway that needs frequent cleaning and a softly lit bedroom may benefit from different finishes. We discuss washability, sheen, lighting and color transitions, then plan the product for each surface. Trim and doors can use a separate finish from the walls.

Define what happens to cracks and patches.

Paint does not flatten a rough patch or erase a texture difference. Your scope should explain crack repair, sanding, texture work, stain treatment and primer where needed. Review expectations under the room's normal lighting before deciding whether a localized patch or broader correction makes sense.

Keep the occupied home part of the plan.

Furniture protection, access to rooms, daily cleanup and drying time should be discussed before the start date. We explain the agreed sequence and walk through the completed scope with you. Product and labor warranty terms are documented for the selected project.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Planning Interior Painting

Do walls, doors and trim need the same paint?+

Often they have different cleaning, wear and sheen needs. The proposal can specify separate products and finishes by surface.

Can I stay in my home during painting?+

Discuss the rooms involved, access and protection needs during the consultation. Occupied-space sequencing depends on the scope and selected products.

Is drywall repair included automatically?+

Included repairs are identified in writing. Describe cracks, stains and damaged areas so their treatment and any exclusions can be evaluated.
