A CLEARER SCOPE FOR YOUR PROJECT

Decide which material can be repaired and retained.

Cracked panels, damaged boards, failed trim and soft wood are evaluated before painting. The siding type and available matching material influence the repair plan. A finish cannot stabilize a failed assembly or replace sound fastening and necessary material correction.

Use preparation suited to the siding.

Fiber cement, wood, vinyl and T1-11 have different cleaning and coating requirements. The written scope should identify repair limits, joints, exposed edges, primer and finish. Vinyl also requires approved color and product compatibility review.

Plan the finished exterior as a whole.

Discuss trim, doors, shutters and other included surfaces so color and finish choices work together. Repair areas and repaint boundaries should be defined before work begins, along with maintenance guidance and applicable coverage.

No. The material, stability, cleaning needs and approved color system must be considered separately.
